"Simply Ewe" ornament hand painted by Renee Campbell. This is an original miniature painting of a Shetland ewe sheep. She was created on a 2.5" x 2.5" cross-cut wood slice. Painting on wood is commonly known as Tole Painting. This is my take on Tole Painting. It's not from a pattern or stencil. This is painted in the same manner that I make all my other paintings. The only variation is the surface (wood slice). It will come with a jute or hemp string and be ready to hang. This is not exactly a Christmas Ewe but she would look great hanging on any Christmas tree. You could leave her hanging all year long since she will complement any farm house of cabin decor. I love sheep and had four Shetland wethers for over 10 years. They were great. If you are interested in a variation of this piece, please let me know since I am willing to work with you!

I use only artist grade supplies and surfaces. All paper will be artist grade and archival. This piece will be sealed with Liquitex Soluvar. Please do not display in direct sunlight. Any artwork since even the best pigments may fade after prolonged exposure.
